The Israel Haifa Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1950 and in recent years has become the focal point of musical life
in Haifa and the north of Israel. The Orchestra, which is the most significant musical institute in the north of Israel, has
recently expanded its activities throughout the country. World Acclaimed Maestro Yoel Levi, one the most versatile
musicians, is the artistic director of the HSO. The Israel Haifa Symphony Orchestra is supported by: The Ministry of
Culture and Sport & The Haifa Municipality. We are a sub-division of Ethos chaired by Adv. Igal Zeevi.
REPERTOIRE
Community and Outreach - The Orchestra produces numerous programs for the community. These include:
* Jewish music evenings
* Popular concerts such as: "On Broadway, "ABBA Tribute", Beatles Medley etc.
* Performances at City Festivals and events: Light music concerts in the park, Independence Day, Memorial
Day concerts, Concerts in honor of key officials such as the prime Minster of Israel.
* Representation of the city of Haifa and the state of Israel overseas such as the Manheim anniversary tour, The
International Jazz festival in Manheim, Culture Festival in China, A Jazz tour to the islands of Greece, Opening
concerts of the International film festivals in Israel, and many more.
